Senate passes $2 trillion corona-virus bill

After days of tense debate, the Senate late Wednesday approved the massive stimulus package as businesses and households across the U.S. struggle for cash amid the coronavirus outbreak that closed down much of the country. The House has to pass the bill next and then it will be sent to President Trump for his signature.

U.S. deaths from the coronavirus pandemic topped 1,000 on Wednesday night as all 50 states have reported confirmed cases of the disease. New York City is considered the U.S. epicenter of the virus, with over 20,000 cases and 280 deaths.

So far this season, there have been 45 million flu illnesses, at least 300,000 hospitalizations, and up to 46,000 deaths from flu, of which more than 100 are pediatric–a higher total at this point of the year than any season in the past decade.
New York State is reporting 147,220 positive cases to date, according to the CDC. The latest data (ending March 7) shows a 15% decrease in reported cases from the previous week.
In Monroe County, there have been 17 deaths since October 1 from 5,626 confirmed cases. Of those confirmed cases, 743 were hospitalized.
Seven of the people who have died from the flu this year have been older than 75 years old, according to the Monroe County Influenza Surveillance Report.
The CDC reports that the percentage of deaths attributed to flu and pneumonia is 6.8%, which is below the epidemic threshold of 7.3%. But this year’s strain is unusual compared to previous years.
Note: Iām not saying Covid-19 actions are or are not warranted. I am only asking you to step back a bit further and look at it without your sunglasses on.
“think when you muddy the waters with seasonal influenza statistics, you’re doing the sick and dead an injustice. Trump mislead people with phony promises and alternate facts. He is sitting on his hands instead of using all available tools at his disposal.” -š”

My view point and here is the bill details with all the commentary removed.
Keep in mind I’m not using the flu as a comparison, I’m using it as a reference.
U.S. deaths from the corona-virus pandemic topped 1,000 dead and we have now spend 3.7 trillion dollars they claim we never had. I’m including the 1.7 trillion the Fed injected into the wall street in mid march 2020.
Part of this 2 trillion deal includes deals on Real ID, Kennedy center (nothing to do with virus) other than revenue loss for the center
Protections against foreclosures and evictions that only applies to federally backed mortgage loans. bill details with all the commentary removed.
Every person is getting a one time check. bill details with all the commentary removed.
When the democrats put their idea out there, it included a repeal on executive orders on union collective barging agreements and 50% reduction in jet fuel emissions. …..why include this if they were serious about getting this passed for the people?
$324 million for the State Department Evacuations of Americans with state department stating they are tracking 13,400 people that need assistance so that means 24.1 million dollar per person.
$88 million for the Peace Corps
$324 million for diplomatic programs
$258 million for international disaster assistance
$350 million for migration and refugee assistance
$95 million for USAID operating expense
bill details with all the commentary removed.
This is NOT a Trump thing because look at the Republican and Democratic response. take off your red and blue glasses. Look at this money and where it is going and how on f*ck’s earth is this stimulus?
