Obi-Wan Kenobi May 25th 2022

Last edit 6-26-22 (original posting 3-15-2022) I have a bad feeling about this!!

Watched them all and this is just f*cking horrible – the dialog, fight scenes and story build is pathetic. There is no love of the franchise or this would have been done right. The two biggest characters in theis series and the mouse took a shit on them. This should have been the best but instead we get a hacked up mess just to introduce a new character that is pointless.

Just got done watching Episode 3 & 4 and this show is absolute garbage! I have no desire to even watch the rest of it. The introduction of Vader was poorly written and stupid the first fight he is in with Obi-Wan and a total flicking train wreck. Two o father best characters in Star Wars and they bring them back with this stupid mess of a series. The writing is god awful and it amazes me because of the revenue Disney has to work with. A DUMPSTER FIRE of writing and the introduction of Vader is a waste of screen. Star Wars is official garbage and George Lucas is to blame for seeking it to the mouse and destroying and beloved franchise. Yes it is just a movie but it was one that I have grown up with and the first has a specials place because my mom took me back so many time to see it. Beyond disappointed

The more I look into it but as a Star Wars fan, I’m hopeful and will be watching. I have always been a Star Wars fan, not to the point of buying figures and loading my room up but I still love the shows. I’ve seen everyone on the day they came out since the original three and this includes the series. Some I have only seen once and never care to see again. I like the director but the two Mandalorian episodes she directed were not that strong. We are talking about two of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars Universe and I don’t understand why they would not bring in people that are more geared to sci-fi storytelling and have a healthier resume, especially in the writing department. It is a six-episode which means they are going to have to pack a lot into these six episodes in order to do it right and the people at the helm do not have a track record of doing that.

Looking into the credits and as much back story as I can find and there is no Star Wars Universe FAN leading this project, which has me worried. The Mandalorian has true fans at the helm so this helps but for this one I don’t see how in the help they are going to pull it off. I will be watching and hoping for the best but the overall track record of good Star Wars is not going well.
