River Run: Round 1 Saturday
I set a target number for myself and was well below that number. I’m very happy, but I need to play a bit smarter. I must remember that sometimes, par is good enough, but I get greedy and add to my score. My putting needs to improve, but I am very happy with my forehand. It is getting better. My round card fellow players were awesome, and playing with them was an honor.
The Boulders: Round 2 Saturday
I had a set number for myself on this course because and knew I would struggle with it because of my low experience with this style of course. (Bigger and more open). My lack of having a big drive hurts my game on a course like this. OB’s on this one caused me problems as I kept picking the wrong discs. I struggled and ended up dropping a +12, which would ensure I would place low in the field. I would not be last, but still, it is frustrating. The 2nd round card players are awesome, and I learned a lot watching them, I see things I can use in my own game.
River Run: Round 3 Sunday
I struggled a bit more this time around with this course, and some OB’s made my day tougher. I could not get my putting under control to get some birdies to knock the damage down. I would stay under my target number but not by much, ending with. +7, which put me 30th for the event. The staff and event are some of the funniest ones to date. MY and Nick were together again for rd 3, and we had a great time with our fellow players. A great way to spend a day.
